Yemen

Every fifth child in Yemen is malnourished.

The need for emergency aid in Yemen is urgent.

Yemen is a country with a population of 50.5 million inhabitants. Over 24 million of these people live daily in need, and access to clean water is limited. More than 9.58 million children do not have access to adequate hygiene facilities and lack safe drinking water. Yemen is a country facing starvation, lack of schooling, and a strong need for humanitarian aid, protection, and emergency aid.

One of the worst humanitarian crises in the world

Yemen has a huge shortage of medical equipment and health services. Over 20 million of the population experience hunger daily. Yemen is facing one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world, and it is driven by economic collapse, conflict, and a lack of public services and institutions. The conflict in Yemen has resulted in food shortages, making it difficult for vulnerable communities to access nutritious meals.

20,000 fresh loaves of bread weekly

Our ongoing bread project in Yemen provides fresh bread to those who need it most. Since July 2020, we have delivered over 20,000 fresh loaves of bread weekly to families and single people suffering from hunger and malnutrition.

We are working on several projects in Yemen, and are working so that we can take up the fight against hunger and support families in need. During the winter months, we also distribute blankets and warm clothes to isolated rural areas, so that they are better equipped against the cold and diseases.

Clean water and wells

We have set up water facilities in refugee camps where we fill up 30,000 liters of clean water every other day. We also build wells where it is possible and safe and needed.

Our water tanks are tested weekly to ensure excellent water quality.

The Imdad Relief Foundation works to protect children, manage hunger and prevent disease through healthy meals and clean water infrastructure. We deliver vital food and hot bread to the most fragile and underprivileged areas, and thanks to your donations, we can work with the humanitarian crisis throughout the year.
