Qurbani is a religious sacrifice of animals (goat, sheep, cow, ox, camel) made during Eid-ul-Adha. The sacrifice takes place between the 10th and 12th day of Dhul Hijjah which is the last month of the year in the Islamic calendar. The meat from the sacrifice is distributed to poor communities and ensures that everyone can enjoy Eid despite the lack of food and resources.
Providing food to poor families
Qurbani donations can help provide nutritious food to disadvantaged families in poor and vulnerable communities. Isolated communities and areas are vulnerable to hunger and poverty. The goal of the Qurbani is to ensure that every Muslim person has access to food so that they can enjoy Eid-ul-Adha. When we distribute the Qurbani meat, we make sure that the meat is given to those who are most disadvantaged in the region.
Show your support through Qurbani
Your Qurbani donation will support those struggling to find their next meal and those in need of nutritious meals to keep their families alive. Recipients of Qurbani often struggle with food shortages and live in extreme poverty. Among them are those who have fled violence and become weak, traumatized, and injured. Your Qurbani contribution can feed families in need around the world.
In the past, your Qurbani donation with Imdad Relief Foundation has helped families in need throughout Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Gambia. We make sure to buy animals locally, to ensure fresh meat and support the local economy. We take care of animals to Qurbani and select disadvantaged families from vulnerable areas in each country we work.
