Water distribution in Gaza

The need

When ordinary things become vital

Families in Gaza face repeated displacement, destroyed homes and uncertain access to clean water. Overcrowding and inadequate sanitation increase the risk of disease. Limited humanitarian access makes it difficult to meet their needs.

What Imdad does

Local staff. Practical help. People’s needs first.

Clean water

When the water network fails, tankers become a vital part of daily life. Our local team organises drinking-water deliveries to displaced families.

Food and meals

A hot meal means a great deal when a family has no kitchen. We prepare and distribute meals and provide food rations when conditions allow.

Care and learning

Help also means being seen. We have supported displaced women through psychosocial gatherings and children with school bags and learning supplies.

How we work in Gaza

Gaza is our largest area of work. Local staff adapt the help as needs and conditions change.

  1. We prioritise needs

Contact with families and communities helps the team see where support is needed and what can be carried out.

  2. We organise the help

We check available goods and arrange local purchases. Food preparation and water deliveries are adapted to local needs and safety.

  3. We follow up the work

Field updates, project documentation and annual reports show what we do. They give you an insight into the work you support.

Access and safety can change rapidly. This affects where, when and how help can be provided.

Over the years, the work has also included medicines, healthcare support, tents and winter supplies. Explore the work in the archive below
