The need and our response
New pressures in a prolonged crisis
Conflict and displacement come on top of a prolonged economic crisis in Lebanon. UNICEF describes pressure on water supplies, health and education, alongside declining family purchasing power. Winter cold adds a further burden for people in temporary accommodation.
A partnership rooted in Imdad’s history
Support for refugees in Lebanon was among Imdad’s earliest humanitarian responses. Later partnerships have included food parcels, hot meals, winter support and temporary accommodation, particularly for Syrian and Palestinian refugees in the Bekaa Valley.
In March 2026, Imdad shared an update on hot meals for displaced families through its local partner. The partnership connects support from Norway with practical delivery close to people in need.
