The Gaza Strip is home to 67.3% of the Palestinian population, equivalent to 1.85 million people living in an extremely high-density area.
The unsustainable economic situation in Gaza has left many children in extreme poverty, without education, and with a need for psychological help after several years of war and insecurity. These children must constantly worry about where their next meal is coming from, and harsh winter evenings create challenging life situations.
Gaza is one of the most densely populated areas in the world, and its inhabitants have an urgent need for clean water. 97% of the groundwater in Gaza is polluted and thus not drinkable. This water causes the spread of diseases in an area without adequate medical help.
After several years of economic blockade and violence, almost 80% of the population is dependent on charity, emergency preparedness, and aid organizations to survive.
Imdad Relief Foundation works in the field in Gaza and provides vital winter aid to children and orphans. Our goal is to reach as many people in Gaza as possible. This is a strictly controlled area where there is little to no opportunity for growth or flight. The inhabitants are trapped and have a great need for assistance.
A better life for children in Gaza
With your donations and help from our supporters and volunteers, we can provide children and families with important supplies throughout the year. We also fill up water tanks for families who need clean water. Providing warm clothes, nutritious meals and clean water may not be enough to repair the psychological damage many of Gaza's children suffer, but we do what we can to help them with a safer, cleaner, and better environment and an improved quality of life.
