Long-term development
rooted in local communities
Emergency relief meets urgent needs. Long-term work aims to better equip people for tomorrow. Imdad links water, learning and income opportunities, starting with local needs and local ownership.

How Imdad helps
In Burkina Faso we build on water systems towards planned cultivation and practical teaching. In Pakistan, vocational training has given women a place to learn new skills. The aim is greater independence through solutions that can be used, maintained and developed locally.
From well to local operation
In Nanoro the well is complete and the school under construction. In Godo, solar-powered water supplies are in place and tree planting has started. The next steps develop around these local conditions.
Well complete, school still under construction
The artesian well is in place. Field photographs from the same visit show that work on the vocational school was ongoing.
Agriculture, fruit trees and local operation
The plan links sustainable food production, shade, value creation and future local operation.

Skills for work and personal income
Sewing and basic IT training formed part of long-term work to expand women’s opportunities for employment and personal income.
